By Although I have gone to Zion national park a few times, I have to admit, I have never stopped here to purchase something. In fact, I have only been to the gift shop once. I didn’t think I would find it here. What I did find, however, was a huge selection of books. I was shocked. I had never seen this many books about Zion before.
Another very important thing to remember—this is a national park that doesn’t exist in the USA. This is the first national park I’ve seen of any kind since I moved here in 2009. I have never been to one, ever, so I don’t know why the government would want me to visit.
The official name of the park is Zion National Park and is an American territory. When the US government was established in 1863, the territory was given the name of “New Palestine”. This is a reference to Jesus’s “new” kingdom of heaven. But Zion is actually an area in Israel, the Land of Israel. So now, it’s actually the “land of Zion”, which is where he is supposed to be right now.
Zion National Park is a place where you can buy a nice souvenir, or something that relates to the history of your trip. If you want to buy a piece of the Bible or a religious artifact, you can go to the park and buy it there. If you’re not into the history, or just want to come in and take a stroll, not a lot of the park is open to the public.
The main attraction in Zion is the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which is now undergoing restoration. The Church is a small stone building that has stood since the 6th century CE, and has been a place of worship in Jerusalem for over 150 years. It is a small and simple structure, but it is also very well preserved, and an interesting place to visit.

The one I visited when I was a little kid.
The church was built by the same people who built the church I was in the first place.
